The Secure Hash Algorithm is a family of cryptographic hash functions published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) as a U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS). SHA is the algorithm used to encrypt the data and the certificates while using SSL technology.
Effective 28/Sep/2015 our SSL certificates are SHA-2 under an SHA-2 root. Phonon’s Click-to-Call, SMS-to-Call, CCNow and other services, the widgets, the images, the form and all API calls that are made are served over SSL. Each of these SSL calls use SHA-2 SSL certificates now.
